The jewelry designer, product designer, and sculptor Günter Wermekes presents 5 exclusive solitaires, each with a diamond larger than 1 carat on a stainless-steel ring. Also included is a one-of-a-kind 1 carat diamond set in corroded steel. Its conceptual force sets its apart from more traditional designs: a combination of materials that couldn’t be more diametric in contradiction; a solitaire whose architectonic elements builds a bridge to Wermekes’s sculptures of corroded and stainless steel.
Günter Wermekes was the first to create a collection of jewelry combining stainless steel and diamonds.
He has won multiple awards for his work, including the Design Award from the Federal German State of North Rhine – Westphalia. He has also designed bracelets, eyeglasses, door knobs, and other products for well-known companies such as BMW, Niessing, TecnoLumen, and Rodenstock.
Wermekes jewelry is made for those who do not measure value by material worth alone.
