On first glance, Daniel Sabranski’s large color photos appear to be digitally edited approximations of existing models from art history.

A closer look, however, reveals breaks that show the simulated digital production method.

Daniel Sabranksi produces maquettes, models, costumes, and other aids; puts them together, and photographs them with a film camera. He often appears – whether visible, masked, or camouflaged – as a subject of his own photos.
