Jürgen Wassmuth on his work:
The basic themes of my work are the forms of dialogue between image, time, and space. Space is the movement of landscape - cultural landscape. Through this movement we become aware of three-dimensionality. In addition to sight, this includes other senses such as noise, vibration, and smell. The referentiality to time emerges through my subjective condition; my own being is part of what constitutes the space I occupy.

A perception is not defined by the point of time in which one perceives it. It is defined over a duration of time whose boundaries are in flux. In translating this duration we "feel" time.
