APPRECIATING THE EXTRA IN THE ORDINARY

Since its founding by Pia Pasalk in 2008, Content and Container has been devoted to the singular qualities hidden under the cover of everyday objects and ordinary circumstances.

In her objects, and sometimes completely to the surprise of the contemplator, Pia Pasalk very naturally and elegantly crosses the frontiers between jewellery, product and fashion. The quotidian is elevated to the decisive stylistic element and assumed blemishes create the focus of design PERFECT IMPERFECT is a collection, inspired by the wabi-sabi philosophy of Japan, the beauty of the incomplete and the unconventional. Any blemishes or rough patches that appear during the manufacturing process are not eliminated but preserved in the design of the collection.
